Terms of Service
Last updated October 31, 2026
Welcome to Daybank. By creating an account or using daybank.app, its apps or its Chrome extension, you agree to these terms. Please read them; they’re short.
Using Daybank
- You sign in with a Google account or with your email and a password (keep it private), and you must be at least 13 years old.
- Keep your account secure. You’re responsible for what happens under it.
- Daybank is free. It’s currently in beta, so features may change, and things may occasionally break.
Your content
What you add to Daybank is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Daybank for you: syncing it, showing it to the people you share it with, and letting Sunny help you with it, kept securely as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete it any time.
Public profiles and Pay me
- If you make your profile public, anything you choose to show can be seen by anyone with the link.
- Payment methods you add (QR codes, account numbers, crypto addresses) are shown so people can pay you directly. Daybank doesn’t handle, hold or process those payments and isn’t responsible for them. Double-check your details, and deal with payers at your own discretion.
- Only add payment methods and content that belong to you.
Sunny and money features
Sunny, budgets, debt plans, “safe to spend” and other numbers are tools to help you organise, not professional financial, legal or medical advice. AI can make mistakes, so check anything important. Make money decisions based on your own judgement, and get professional advice when you need it.
To work, Sunny processes your messages and the details each request needs through the AI service that powers it, in that service’s data centers, so it can give you accurate results. Using Sunny means you agree to this; without it Sunny can’t function properly, and you’re welcome to use Daybank without Sunny instead. Those data centers run under the AI service’s own terms and safeguards, which are outside Daybank’s control, so to the extent the law allows, Daybank isn’t responsible for how that service operates. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Private vault and your keys
The private vault (Settings → Security) is needed to use Daybank’s money features. Once it’s on, your money details are locked on your own device with a passcode you choose, before they reach us. Daybank only stores the locked version: we can’t read it, change it or unlock it without your keys, and neither can anyone on the Daybank team.
- You hold the keys. Your passcode and your recovery code are yours alone. We never see them and don’t keep a copy.
- The recovery code is your only backup. When you turn the vault on, you get a recovery code that only you have. If you forget your passcode, it’s the only way back in. We can’t reset your passcode or recover your locked data for you.
- Lose both, lose the data. If you lose both your passcode and your recovery code, your locked details can’t be recovered by anyone, including us.
- Keep them safe. Store your recovery code somewhere secure and private, don’t share your passcode, and lock or forget devices you no longer use. You’re responsible for keeping your passcode, your recovery code and your devices secure. If they’re lost, shared or compromised, what happens to your locked data is your responsibility.
We take your privacy and security seriously and built the vault so your locked details stay yours. That also means we can’t step in if your keys are lost or misused.
Please don’t
- break the law, or use Daybank to scam, harass or impersonate anyone,
- upload anything harmful, illegal, or that you don’t have the right to share,
- try to hack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits,
- use someone else’s account or data without permission.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
Supporting Daybank
Gifts on the Supporters page are voluntary donations to keep Daybank running. They’re not purchases, don’t unlock features, and generally can’t be refunded. Notes you send may be shown on the Supporters wall if you choose.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Daybank running and your data safe, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Daybank isn’t liable for indirect losses, or for decisions you make based on the app. Keep your own records of anything important; you can download your data any time.
Ending your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings. We may end or change the service, and will try to give notice so you can download your data.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the changes matter, we’ll update the date above and let you know. Continuing to use Daybank means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
